Description
something with only six legs again!
this is the world's largest ant species, it can be 3,5 cm long in the body and lives in south america. these ants are polydomous - one colony maintains multiple nests at a time, but their colonies are smaller than those of the majority of other ants, counting "only" thousands to tens of thousand individuals, while some ants can live in colonies composed of millions of individuals, but these ants payback their relatively small numbers in fierceness and immense strength, their mandibles have no difficulty with piercing human skin, but the'll rather sting than bite and they can do so repetitively. they have one of the most painful stings among insects, the pain can paralyse a person for many hours leaving the afflicted individual unable to do anything but scream.
when the are on their way through the leaf litter, everything that lacks wings ends overwhelmed by their superiority in numbers.
