Mesognathid predators

Description

Yeah! The freshwater "xenocroc" and marine "xenoshark" =D are up here now! =D

The marine predator has a new feature, a pair of tentacles, which is something I've wanted to add to their anatomy, since i got an idea that all modern "vertebrates" will have them in some size shape or form, but i didn't know how to do it, and following the "xenocroc" didn't seem as a good enough idea for me, I wanted something different, and hopefully, I found it! =D

I've just had an idea for placing the "croc's" midlegs further back and make them more fin.like, but I guess that's gonna wait a while. (I've just finished my sketchbook. =D)

I've also got an idea for an animal filling a niche of seals/sea lions, they'll look like a cross of those two animals, a mesognathid - with the jaws still separated from the head but at the front end of the body - with the tentacles between the head and jaws, they'll have webbed feet and or paddle-like legs and not flippers, and they'll be relatively smaller (mostly 1.5 - 2.5 m long with some larger species)

These are great, the perspective on the sharks fins really sells it.
